Sailing Royal Caribbean from Southampton? Complete guide to the City Cruise Terminal, boarding times, luggage valet, and how to get there.
Royal Caribbean operates some of its biggest ships from Southampton, including Independence of the Seas and other favourites. Here's your complete guide to boarding day.
Royal Caribbean's Southampton Terminal
Royal Caribbean uses the City Cruise Terminal in the Eastern Docks. Address: Town Quay, Southampton SO14 2AQ. This is the most accessible terminal from Southampton city centre — approximately 10 minutes from the train station.
Boarding Times
Royal Caribbean runs a staggered boarding system. You'll be assigned a "Set Sail Pass" with a check-in time window. Arrive within your window — arriving too early means waiting outside.
Typical windows start from 10:30am for suite/pinnacle guests and go through to 3:00pm. Your documents will show your specific time.
The SeaPass Card and What to Bring
You'll need your SetSail Pass (printout or mobile), passport, and credit card for onboard account setup. Keep these accessible — don't pack them in your hold luggage.
Luggage Valet
Royal Caribbean offers a luggage valet service (on selected sailings) where you check bags all the way through from your home airport. If you're flying in and using this service, confirm the process with your airline in advance.
